About Betty's Outrageous Adventures

Originally designed as a hiking group in 2000 by a small group of friends wanting to get together a couple times a month, the Bettys quickly grew as it filled the void that Las Vegas had in the way of lesbian social groups. Each year we strive to bring bigger and better events to all of our Bettys while still providing the smaller intimate gatherings that have been the backbone of our organization from the beginning.

This year is a very big year for The Bettys, not only are we celebrating 10 fabulous Betty years, we also finally became an official non-profit organization! And with that we've made a new commitment to our community. Our first commitment is and always will be to our beloved Community Center. Secondly, is to lesbian women everywhere with our "Get On and Out With it" program. This is an on line program to assist and support women worldwide questioning their sexuality. It involves on-line peer counseling, special guests and material suggestions. The group will support women who wish to come out through a step-by-step, as-your-ready structured program.

And thirdly, to the Las Vegas community in general with our newest program, "Betty's Helpers" which involves Betty volunteers going out to offer a helping hand to other organizations in our community such as 3 Square Food Bank, St. Therese Food Bank and The Sin Sity Sisters. We hope through this program we can reach out to our communities' needy and offer them help and compassion while representing the Las Vegas gay community in a positive light.

Opening her own Real Estate Firm in 2005 called, The Real Estate Experts, LLC. After hosting several events, including The Murder Mystery at her home (which she lovingly refers to as the "Ranchette"), it became clear that Lori's business savvy would be an asset to The Bettys - and so we asked her to come on as Treasurer in order to assist us in going Non-Profit.
